Prizes to be won

By entering the BTO Spring Raffle, you could win one of the following prizes:

First Prize:

A professionally-guided birdwatching break for two in southern Portugal with Birding in Portugal!

Once again “Birding in Portugal” has been generous enough to offer the first prize in this year’s BTO Raffle.

After two years of staring at our walls, Birding in Portugal is generously offering our lucky first place winner a chance to break away from it all and stare at far more interesting subjects, and this year’s first prize is not to be sniffed at!

Birding in Portugal has been guiding birders around southern Portugal for over thirty years from their base at the aptly named “Paradise in Portugal”, an award winning Eco-Lodge of its own standing, so don’t miss this chance of seeing southern Europe’s iconic species. From Great Bustards to Montagu’s Harriers, Purple Swamp Hens to Rufous-tailed Scrub Robins, Golden Orioles to Melodious Warblers, Birding in Portugal can show you them all and give you the holiday of a lifetime to boot!

This year, Birding in Portugal is offering as a 1st Prize in this year’s BTO Raffle 3 night’s accommodation for two in a double or twin bedded room with breakfast and dinner included, as well as transfers and one and a half day’s guided birding anytime before November 2022.

The break is located at Birding in Portugal’s base, “Paradise in Portugal”, and the two family-run entities together have just been awarded Tripadvisor’s “Travellers’ Choice Award” for the third time in the last 5 years, an award that is only given to the top 1% of Lodges in any country. Great food, wine and service, comfy beds, a gorgeous, bird-filled garden and a view to die for in this Lodge that prides itself on its minimal carbon footprint and its maximum hospitality.

The Quinta is under an hour’s drive from the Atlantic coast, so if you would like to explore further, you could arrange to hire a car from the airport or use taxis from the local village. Faro airport is about one and a half hours away by car and Lisbon two and a half. Depending on availability you may also be able to extend your stay – and most guests do!

Thank you to Frank and Daniela McClintock for offering such a wonderful prize for our raffle this year. www.birdinginportugal.com and www.paradiseinportugal.com
